Recent Updates From Care Foward
Last updated | Tuesday February 18, 2025

My focus is assisting clients in finding their own solutions. My role is to help uncover strengths and protective factors while building the necessary coping skills required to move through life's most significant challenges. Trauma, grief, sadness, confusion, worry and addiction are the most common reasons why people reach out for help. After listening and identifying issues together, the therapeutic relationship will begin to build and in that safe and trusting space support will be created. We will then strategize and set goals, ultimately developing a road map for greater happiness, a peaceful mind and a healthier life.
I counsel all ages. However, I have spent the last few years counseling college students. I find the late adolescent life stage to be a pivotal place where choices begin to dictate the rest of one's life. I also know that the family and social system directly affects their reality and that all members of a network require attention during tough times.
I came to the counseling field as a second career after many life experiences. As a parent myself, I am innately nurturing and comforting as I encourage clients to honestly address their issues and meet their goals. I believe that using positivity, warmth and at times humor allows clients to feel comfortable and invites a productive connection.
