I enjoy working with individuals (18 or older) that are curious about themselves, reflective and who desire change. The therapeutic alliance or the relational 'good fit' stands out as the fundamental factor in effective treatment. I am interested in developmental issues in adults and addressing repetitive patterns that stand in the way of growth. My approach is psychoanalytic psychotherapy including attachment , mentalization and creativity based treatments.
My specialties are: trauma/PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders; relationship issues; life transitions . My theoretical orientation is depth psychology, as a contemporary psychoanalyst I work with individuals who are interested in their minds and the minds of others.
I'm licensed in clinical psychology and am a psychoanalyst trained at The Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis. www.icpla.edu. I am past Co-President of the International Forum for Psychoanalytic Education www.IFPE.org. My writing interests are in psychoanalytic history and literature and fiction.
