I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Healdsburg, California, providing individual therapy, couples counseling, and grief counseling. I received my Masters and Doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute, Berkeley, a program fully accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). I completed my APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Institute of Living, in Hartford, Connecticut, and my APA-accredited post-doctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente, in San Rafael, California.
I have worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health clinics, public schools, and an in-patient psychiatric unit (Hartford Hospital). In addition to providing individual therapy, I have run numerous therapy groups and classes, including an adult life skills group, a relationship group, and groups for those suffering from anxiety and depression. I have taught classes on assertiveness, job interviewing, effective communications, emotional regulation, and mindfulness. I have received specialized training in couples counseling, working with people in grief, and helping adults with ADHD.
I have provided psycho-educational assessments for students at both public and private schools in the Bay Area, and for college and graduate students at UC San Francisco, UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, and the University of San Francisco. I have also conducted assessments for the California Department of Rehabilitation, Hartford Hospital, and Kaiser Permanente. I am experienced with the testing requirements of several testing and licensing boards, including the College Board (SAT), ACT, GMAT, LSAT, and the National Board of Medical Examiners. I have specialized in testing adolescents and adults for ADHD and learning difficulties.
