Recent Updates From Cristina Plaza
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
We all need to feel seen and heard, especially in difficult times. Accompanying my clients in their journey in the midst of life's challenges is an honor. I work from a strength-based position, incorporating family systems orientations to help obtain and use the tools necessary to cultivate change and growth. As a marriage and family therapist I love to see families and individuals thrive and live healthy lives. I am passionate about mental health with an integrative perspective that includes mindfulness and spirituality.
I am bilingual/bicultural with over two decades of experience providing support, family education, and counseling in culturally diverse settings with immigrant families, working through the adjustment and stress of displacement. I also provide psychological evaluations for immigration cases (U, T visas, Hardship, asylum, and VAWA). Licenses: MN, SD, and AZ.
I strive to offer a welcoming environment with hospitality and a sincere relational approach that is culturally attuned. I believe in the centrality of the therapeutic relationship, which is at the heart of healing. I am looking forward to meeting you!
