Recent Updates From Deborah Bergmann
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
I offer an invitation to a safe, supportive, and engaging space that is dedicated to your self-understanding, growth, and wellbeing. There are certain lines of thought and emotion that are difficult to work through alone, or in our family and friend relationships, but which need to be thought and felt in order to free up aspects of ourselves that have gotten stuck: aspects like our sense of ourselves as the authors of our own lives, our curiosity, our creativity, our sense of ourselves as worthy and lovable.
Therapy can also be a place to grieve in an accompanied and sustaining way, in which there is no pressure to be better or to present yourself as on a journey of self-improvement, whether you are grieving the loss of a person, a relationship, a hope, or even something you can’t name yet.
I believe the experience of being carefully listened to and met emotionally and intellectually can be very helpful in resolving many different kinds of emotional struggles and opening new possibilities for living. I work with adolescents 12+ and adults and work with most presenting concerns.
