Are you looking for counseling, psychotherapy? Are you or your child struggling with problems? Through individual and/or family counseling, you can develop ways to address problems. Psychological testing may be used to more deeply understand your challenges. Assisting you at the highest level, my knowledge and skills are kept current. I've been a licensed psychologist for over 28 years. I assist children and teenagers, adults, couples and families. Prior to private practice, I obtained extensive inpatient experience in a psychiatric prison, an inpatient adolescent facility and the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center .
I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology focused on Psychotherapy from Georgia State University. My residency was at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, where I also completed a Fellowship in Pain Management in the Anesthesiology Department. My Masters degree in Clinical Community/Community Psychology is from Chapman University.
I treat people with warmth and caring while making your sessions challenging. I am both a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Sessions should go beyond just talk therapy. Your sessions will involve here and now changes, as well as trying new behaviors during the session. Your call is appreciated.
