Dr. Golden is a licensed clinical psychologist. She graduated from the Catholic University of America in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts and in 1998 with a Masters of Arts, both in Psychology. She pursued doctoral education through Kent State University, graduating with her Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology in 2006. Dr. Golden completed post-doctoral training at Akron Children's Hospital and the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Golden is committed to evidenced based treatment in her work with children and families.
Dr. Golden has specialized in work with children and families. She completed a post-doctoral pediatric psychology fellowship in the NeuroDevelopmental Center of Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron specializing in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, and childhood behavior problems.
In 2007, Dr. Golden joined the NIH Intramural Research Program of NIMH. As part of the Pediatric and Developmental Neuroscience branch, her work focused on assessment of pediatric autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, and typical development. She gained expertise working with rare genetic conditions. Dr. Golden has been active in research, presenting nationally and internationally.
