Recent Updates From Jennifer Alvarez
Last updated | Tuesday February 18, 2025

I am a licensed, clinical psychologist with extensive experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, and other stress-related problems. I use cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and mindfulness therapeutic approaches to treat problems such as social anxiety, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorders, depression, grief & loss, PTSD/trauma, and stress related to relationships, work, parenting, and other issues. In addition to private practice, I have been an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine.
I approach therapy in a down-to-earth, collaborative, action-oriented way. The therapy I provide can help you consider how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and teach you concrete skills for managing stress and strong emotions and reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other problems.
I offer compassionate individual and group therapy conducted in a private setting and flexible hours to accommodate your busy schedule. I also offer training and consultation to other mental health providers. My office is easily accessible to highway 101 and 280 and there is ample parking.
