Therapy helps to improve lives in a meaningful way (have better relationships with friends, family members and partners, improve our self-esteem). I work to help you identify issues, problems and patterns, but also implement skills and tools make changes to these patterns. Most importantly, I offer a warm, compassionate, and collaborative environment, and I will work with you to tailor clinical interventions to fit your needs and goals.
I am a Stanford University-trained clinical psychologist with specialties in the treatment of mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorders), emotion dysregulation issues, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, grief, and in working with individuals struggling with trauma-related issues.
My approach integrates evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy--these are active, practical, skills-based, time-defined, and engaged forms of therapy. I am also a fully certified DBT therapist.
