Recent Updates From Jonathan S
Last updated | Tuesday February 18, 2025

Finding a therapist is a daunting task. While I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety-related disorders and depression, I also incorporate elements of Mindfulness, Problem-Solving, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Gottman couples theory. In addition, I have been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) by the EMDR Institute. My goal is to help you feel more hopeful, be happier, and be more in control of your life.
As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, I am an anxiety specialist. I trained at Stanford with Dr. David Burns, the best-selling author of "Feeling Good". I also help adults with other mood issues, including depression, life problems, aging & relationship issues, couples therapy, grief, work/career problems, LGBTQ & sexual orientation issues.
Currently licensed in both Massachusetts and California, I have worked at Brigham & Women's Hospital, as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, and at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. I bring to my practice not only my outstanding education and training in California, but invaluable experience at a major Harvard-affiliated teaching hospital.
