People often begin therapy when they feel stuck, when their coping is no longer effective in helping them deal with and overcome challenges. I work with individuals who are seeking to grow and often heal from a variety of adverse life circumstances. I have advanced training in psychoanalysis, addiction, abuse, and historical trauma. I have been practicing for more than 25 years, and have a wide range of clinical experiences to draw from. I currently have availability within the next 2 weeks for new clients.
I tailor my approach to what the presenting issue/concern is. Each person is unique, and I try to get a sense of the individual person's history, strengths, and coping skills. My focus is supportive. I am an advanced candidate at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis, where I continue to study in-depth models of psychological change and growth.
