Recent Updates From Emily Belknap
Last updated | Tuesday February 18, 2025

I'm available for in-person and video sessions in the afternoons and evenings. I work with teens and young adults who struggle with over-thinking situations or expecting the worst outcomes; lacking confidence in who they are; or struggling in relationships with friends or family. I work with clients to create a comfortable place to explore thoughts, feelings and behavior patterns that create problems in how they see themselves and in their relationships. Together we identify ways to make changes to help them reach their goals.
My aim is for you to leave therapy better equipped to handle life's stressors, able to more easily recognize and express your feelings, knowing you are worthy and capable, and with an increased confidence in your relationships with family and friends.
I also specialize in working with teen and adult adoptees and adoptive parents. Therapy helps adoptees better understand their story, explore their identity, and process grief and trauma related to adoption and life experiences. I help adoptive parents better understand developmental trauma and use therapeutic parenting strategies to build strong attachment.
