Recent Updates From Erin Castleberry
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors experiencing depression, anxiety, and issues related to parenting, trauma, technology/social media use, peer conflict, intimate partner violence/conflict, and major life transitions (eg. first-time parenting, leaving for college, returning to work, divorce, empty nest). I created and taught a graduate-level course at Johns Hopkins on social media's effect on mental health. My clinical training focused on survivors and offenders of sexual and domestic violence. I was awarded a fellowship for my work with teen moms on parenting, life skills, and college readiness.
I use solution-focused and evidence-based techniques (i.e. CBT, ACT, positive psychology) that capitalize on clients’ innate strengths. I operate from a systems mentality appreciating the role of environment in personal challenges. My goal is to establish a collaborative relationship built on trust to help my clients build their inner resources.
We all want to be able to handle life's challenges but flawed emotional, behavioral, or thought patterns can sometimes leave us feeling lost. We need help to see things clearly, identify options, and navigate a path that leads to the life we want. I will help you clear the weeds and develop a plan for achieving personal goals that builds on your strengths.
