Seeking help for a personal difficulty or crisis can be overwhelming. "How can I find a therapist who will understand what I'm going through?" "Will thIs person be someone I can trust?" These are common concerns that come up when seeking professional help. I am a warm and compassionate therapist with over 30 years experience helping people with anxiety, depression, difficulties in relationships, parenting issues, balancing motherhood and career, and separation and loss. My goal is to provide a safe, therapeutic environment, where sensitive issues can be explored, and where new opportunities for hope and change can be realized.
I have helped many adults and young adults address life issues such as marriage and divorce, parenting, professional development, difficulties with intimacy, and the impact of major life changes. such as career stress, and immigration.I completed postgraduate training in psychotherapy, at Washington Square Institute in New York City.
My special interest and expertise is in working with individuals who are struggling with the intergenerational transmission of trauma and loss.
