Shame. We all experience shame don't we? We experience shame we don't feel like we're enough. When we feel like we're too much. When we feel like no one seems to get us. When we struggle with pain, loss, grief, and brokenness. We experience shame from the things we've done and the things done to us. Shame causes us to cover up and hide even though we desperately long to be seen, known, and loved.
Shame thrives on secrecy. There is a risk that if we open ourselves up to the things we feel ashamed about then we'd be shamed, judged, and criticized. But the remedy to shame is vulnerability met with compassion. To be able to open ourselves up and share our burdens with someone who empathizes and truly sees us for who we are.
I provide a safe space to share and be seen and heard without shame. Reaching out when you're stuck in shame is hard and feels impossible. It's risky. But staying stuck in shame is a bigger risk because it keeps you from truly being seen, known, and love. Reach out today and unburden yourself. You don't have to hide anymore.
