I help people cope with difficult situations and learn ways to manage stress at home, work, or school. People work with me to develop effective communication skills and the ability to advocate for themselves, their needs, and their interests. My clients find more meaning, purpose, and connection in their day-to-day lives by better understanding themselves and their capacity for self-compassion, peace, and joy. I also help people learn practical skills for managing time and responsibilities, navigate life transitions and changes, explore body image and relationships with food, and process LGBTQIA+ issues and experiences.
Parents and caregivers work with me to learn practical ways to establish and maintain functional communication, engage their children's and loved ones' cooperation, nurture healthy family relationships, and create a life at home that is fulfilling, rewarding, and sustainable. My approach to parenting prioritizes and strengthens the parent-child relationship.
It's okay if you don't know where to start. If there is something in your life that is concerning or confusing to you, we can discuss it together. Sessions provide you with the time and space to be yourself in a nonjudgmental and supportive environment. Please visit katemartintherapy.com for more information.
