Recent Updates From Kelly Lemos
Last updated | Friday March 7, 2025

My name is Kelly Lemos, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado and a nationally certified counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors. I received a Master’s Degree in Counseling from University of Colorado Denver in 2015, which also gave me the opportunity to work in a mental health clinical setting. This particular position has helped me become specialized in supporting children and adolescents with academics, motivation, behaviors, identity exploration, goals, and the other themes that often surface while growing up.
I have a saying that guides my accepting, open and authentic counseling practice - “everyone is simply doing the best they can, with what they have, in that exact moment”. I like to believe that this mindset has helped me support young people in exploring their struggles, resources, and inner-strength.
My approach and lens to counseling is a client-focused, mixture of practices from different theories- solution focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based, and narrative therapy. I value the uniqueness of each of every client and work with them to figure out the best practice.
