Recent Updates From Irene Studwell
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
My years in the field have taught me that, at best, treatment is a shared endeavor, shaped by experience, training, curiosity, mutual respect, and a good sense of humor. I try to establish a genuine rapport to help clients find their way through depression, anxiety, stress and other emotional disruptions so they can function and thrive in everyday life. As a trained child psychotherapist and adult psychoanalyst, my interests span the life cycle, allowing my enjoyment and understanding of children to influence my engaged and nurturing style with adults.
In practice, I focus on helping people deal with emotional difficulties and handle the consequences of challenging life issues. I. use psychodynamic treatment with attention to patterns of early attachment and family experience, but most of all, I work hard to help people feel better.
For couple therapy, I use the PACT model which draws from neuroscienc, attachment theory, and emotional regulation to help partners create and maintain a secure attachment and lasting emotional connection.
