Following 26 years of military service Jay Farris works with individuals and couples. Jay has a tremendous amount of experience in leadership, arbitration and mediation, mentoring, team building, crisis management, marriage and family therapy, as well as CBT. God has uniquely prepared Jay through his extensive life, work, ministry and educational experiences to provide support and guidance to those working toward reconciliation, healing, and the development of life skills that free them to experience and share the hope, love, joy, peace and purpose that God intends for them.
Gottman Couples Method Training Levels 1,2,3 and Seven Principles Leader; Certified Christian Family Mediator; Certified Human Behavioral Consultant and Certified Human Behavioral Studies-Trainer Provider through the Insights Institute. He has also received training from the Beck Institute in CBT for emotional and personality disorders, and those with PTSD.
As a military veteran who served in Iraq, Jay has personal knowledge of the special challenges our military veterans and their families endure. Jay has served the Lord as a Gideon, in numerous church leadership positions, in prison ministry, and within the community. Jay is a husband of 40 years, a father of 3 children, a father-in-law, and a grandfather.
