Recent Updates From Jennifer Bolton, LPC-A
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
I am Jennifer Bolton a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate working under the supervision of Kemberly Edwards, LPC-S. Fundamentally, I care deeply and believe that most people are inherently good natured and worthy of respect, genuine concern, and love. Life is challenging and often requires grace along the way. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients in their journey towards gaining introspection, growth and healing. I aspire to create and maintain a safe clinical space that welcomes connection and vulnerability in order to build a unique therapeutic relationship offering warmth, empathy and encouragement. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for success in therapy and also enjoy employing a heavy influence of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques. In addition, I integrate evidence-based counseling techniques with biblical truth for my client's by request.
I am enthusiastic about working with clients navigating the various challenges in their lives. I am passionate about working with individuals aged 16+ who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, relational issues, or life transitions. My specific interests include:
-Transitioning into motherhood/Motherhood Issues
-Building bridges between parents and their children
-Aiding families with transitioning elderly loved ones outside of the home
-Communication skills
-Establishing boundaries
-Depression / Anxiety / Trauma
-Life Transitions over age 18
I earned my M.A. in Professional Counseling from Amberton University and am currently a licensed associate completing my final supervision hours for full Texas licensure. Prior to joining ATA in private practice, my primary training experiences involved helping individuals work through anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma in various clinical settings around Mesquite ISD. Prior to earning my masters in counseling, I gained an abundance of experience working with children, teenagers, and parents in the private and public education system.
In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and four boys. I enjoy being outdoors, listening to music, and cooking. I’m a proud Aggie from Texas A&M University. Gig’em!
