Recent Updates From Karen Thacker
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024

I assist my clients in their quest to move forward in their lives. My approach is both empathic and empowering. I provide a safe environment for my clients to work through the issues that are the basis for why they are seeking counseling. I believe that so much of what we deal with is rooted in past negative beliefs we have adopted over the years, beginning with childhood. Using a variety of tools and techniques, I help my clients create healthier ways of relating to themselves and the world around them.
We are all incredibly unique and the reasons we seek counseling are deeply personal. One constant: I believe we can change, grow, and adopt healthier ways of functioning. It takes a lot of work and courage to achieve that, but I believe it's possible.
I have received extensive training from Dr. John Townsend, whose primary focus is on uncovering the breakdown in a person's character structure development and providing a safe, accepting environment in which to heal. I am also an adjunct professor at the Townsend Institute Master of Counseling Program Concordia University, CA.
