Recent Updates From Katie Meier
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
My greatest hope is to create a safe space where you feel seen, valued, and affirmed – we all need and deserve that support in our lives! During our time together, my goal is for you to gain a greater understanding of yourself, adaptive ways of thinking, and tangible coping tools to help you ride the waves of life. I work with young adults, teens, and children (ages 3 and up). I have a passion for supporting clients with anxiety, anger, emotional literacy and regulation, grief and loss, self-compassion, and self-esteem through individual and group counseling.

I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship between client and counselor and each client’s own unique stories and experiences. My approach to counseling is attachment-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I incorporate aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) & mindfulness, as well as play therapy techniques, into counseling sessions.
I know that finding a counselor that is the right fit can be an overwhelming process, so thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about my approach to counseling. Please feel free to reach out via email or phone with any questions or to see if we could be a good fit. I would be so honored to hear from you!
