Recent Updates From Lindsay Burns
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
By taking the time to come to my page, you’ve already made an important step towards growth and healing. I work with both individuals (teens and adults) and couples. I believe that every person is the expert on themselves, so together we will create a collaborative process that allows you to work towards your individual goals. I specialize in treating anxiety, perfectionism, grief, relationship issues and life transitions. I also specialize in couple's therapy, focused on conflict resolution, communication, connection building, and infidelity recovery. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and culturally sensitive.
As a therapist I come from a person- centered and relational mindset. The most important predictor of success in therapy is the client-therapist relationship, therefore it's my main priority. I utilize a variety of techniques in my work, but specialize in Attachment-Based Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest then went to Baylor University for my undergraduate degree in Psychology and played for the Baylor Women’s Soccer Team. Afterwards, I completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University. Outside of work, you can find me exercising, traveling, reading, and spending time with loved ones.
