I am a New York City based, Licensed Clincial Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in this field. Although I do hold a clinical license and a private practice, I consider myself a social worker who exercises all methods of social work including, but not limited to community organizing, and administrative work.
I currently work for a community based organization where I hold the title of Clinical Supervisor. I also teach Clinical Practice Lab @ Hunter College where I am proud to say I am able to share my years of practice with the next generation of social workers. I love what I do and do what I love, so my extensive experience in this field has given me a career I take pride in. Throughout my career I've worked in different settings with a variety of individual, couples, adolescents & families. I have experience in different modalities determined by patient symptomology and preference.
I am a first generation, New York born and raised proud Puerto Rican, Latina who identifies as cisgender female. I am fully bilingual (Spanish) and bicultural.
