Recent Updates From Meg Schefter
Last updated | Wednesday March 26, 2025

Hello! I'm Meg (they/she). I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), psychotherapist, and educator dually licensed in Minnesota. As a queer, non-binary, and neurodivergent therapist and human, I care deeply about providing affirming care to the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodiverse folx. I enjoy working with adolescents, students, teachers, athletes, adults, people who are new to therapy, as well as people who have felt "stuck" with therapy in the past. I am a trauma therapist and use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for trauma processing while integrating other approaches along the way.
I work with people navigating ADHD/ASD, sensory sensitivities, trauma, anxiety, depression, mood cycling, grief/loss, life adjustments, eating and body image issues, and more. I am passionate about creating an affirming space for folx to explore their sexuality and gender identity; I write letters of support for gender-affirming surgeries.
I can be a direct therapist who "calls you out" and challenges you, while balancing gentleness, compassion, and validation. I bring energy, humor, honesty, and creativity to sessions as I aim to provide a welcoming, non-judgmental, and safe space for clients to express authenticity and vulnerability. Please reach out if you feel we would be a good fit!
