Recent Updates From Micah Riley
Last updated | Wednesday March 26, 2025

I love counseling work with adults, adolescents, children (5 y/o+), and couples. Walking along with those experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, low self-esteem, unwanted pornography habits, and spiritual concerns. I believe clients are unique in what they need from therapy. I tailor my work to the individual and integrate different approaches as they are helpful, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, attachment theory, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness.
With couples, I work from a base in Gottman method couples therapy, and I use child-centered play therapy with kids. I am passionate about fostering an empathetic and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship, supporting clients’ self-acceptance and growth, and employing clients’ strengths along with evidence-based practices to help clients meet their goals.
Personally, I love dog-watching with my wife, talking theology and philosophy, and I am on a continuous search for the perfect chicken biscuit. I also enjoy absurd humor, specialty coffee, and all things The Lord of the Rings.
