Recent Updates From Rachel E
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) and have worked in outpatient mental health for 16 years. I believe that a strong therapeutic alliance is the basis to successful treatment. I meet the client where they are and tailor treatment to achieve their individual/family goals. I implement evidenced-based and trauma-informed treatment models to help clients cope with traumatic stress. I also help address everyday stress, life transitions, and mental health diagnoses such as anxiety and depression.
I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and trained to treat single and complex trauma exposures. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I have experience using non-directive approaches such as play therapy and sand tray therapy.
I also has over 10 years experiences providing mental health treatment to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population. I have awareness and training in Deaf culture, American Sign Language (ASL) and working with certified ASL interpreters and certified Deaf Interpreters (CDI).
