Recent Updates From Rebecca Kinshella
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
Choosing to work with a counselor is an incredibly courageous thing to do - after all, you are voluntarily choosing to share your life story with essentially a complete stranger. That is not easy! I therefore strive to meet your courage with a safe and encouraging place for you to share struggles, problem-solve, and try out new ways to do life. I work from a relational and trauma-informed lens, but use a varied approach when counseling to explore practices that may work best for you. I consider you to be the expert in your own life, and always want you to feel empowered in the work we do together.
I specialize in eating disorders and body image concerns, but I work with a variety of individuals including those struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, trauma, and life transitions. I am particularly passionate about maternal mental health, including postpartum concerns, infertility and pregnancy loss.
My therapy style is empathetic, warm, and genuine. I work to facilitate an environment where you feel simultaneously safe to express yourself and challenged to continue to grow towards your desired goals. Please reach out with questions or to set up a quick phone consultation to decide if working together may be a good fit. I hope to meet you soon!
