Recent Updates From Stephanie A.
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024

In life, it's easy to stay on autopilot. While there are times when being on autopilot works for us, there are other times when it doesn't. Through years of studying and practicing psychotherapy, I have become highly skilled at helping my patients to stop living on autopilot, and, instead, to start making CHOICES. Psychotherapy is a process of getting incrementally more honest with yourself. As therapy unfolds and you begin to know yourself more deeply, you can start to examine whether you are living the life you want, and if not, how you want it to change.
My therapeutic approach is influenced by psychodynamic and attachment theories (which means I believe your past experiences, especially with your parents, strongly influence who you are today). I also believe that psychological symptoms reflect what a person has already been through and survived. (Our symptoms tell us something about ourselves.)
In addition to my training as a psychology, I hold a PCC level certification from the International Coaching Federation. I provide private advising and coaching for executives and entrepreneurs, and am on the faculty of Teleos Leadership Institute (which is also where my in-person office is located).
