Profile

I have have been providing psychotherapy to diverse populations in a variety of settings for nearly 25 years. Since 1998, I have held a range of clinical, supervisory and teaching positions in Yale's Department of Psychiatry and at Yale Child Study Center. My professional work is informed by psychodynamic, family systems and attachment theories. While these theories anchor my work, my ability to be open-minded, insightful, collaborative and compassionate are at the core of what's helpful to my clients.
Academics, health care providers, educators, creative-types and therapists comprise the majority of my psychotherapy practice. I have advanced training in couples treatment, specialized training in parent-infant attachment therapy and pre and post-natal therapeutic work. An additional speciality includes grief counseling for people suffering from protracted or sudden losses.
In addition to psychotherapy, I also provide clinical supervision and consultation to psychotherapists seeking to further their clinical skills. Telehealth services available as needed. Please be in touch with any questions you have as you are trying to make a decision about the fit between your needs and my skills.
