I help clients become their personal best. Some issues may be about anxiety and fears, self defeating behaviors, negative habits, relationship problems, stress related to infertility, test anxiety, business/career success, smoking, preparing for surgery, and other health related issues. I combine hypnosis, Emotional Freedom Technique, guided imagery, stress management and other approaches to help my clients obtain lasting changes. My belief is that we have "negative conditioning" or negative mind-set about our world and ourselves, which in turn leads to negative behavior. This manifests itself in our life as a lack of success, poor health habits, destructive relationships, fears, unhappiness, anxiety, etc. I dedicate my practice to teaching people to use their mind and emotions more effectively. The results are better health and more success in their personal and business life. I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Instructor for the National Guild of Hypnotists, as well as Neuro-Linguistic and 5-PATH practitioner. I am a member of the American Hypnosis Association, the National Guild of Hypnotists and the American Counseling Association.

My passion is in helping clients to feel empowered, capable, compassionate, and connected to self and others. I believe that humans are born accepting ourselves, “asking” for our needs to be met, and craving social connection. But life happens and we can lose that deep, felt-sense knowing that we are lovable, deserving, competent, and enough as we are. I help clients work through past experiences that may still have a hold on the present. And while working through these barriers, I (gently) push clients to take daily steps in the direction of their goals and values! I specialize in anxiety and obsessive-compulsive related disorders, and trauma-treatment. I draw from cognitive behavioral (CBT), acceptance and commitment (ACT), dialectical behavior (DBT), and attachment- and mindfulness-based therapies, as well as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), based on client need. I commend you for taking this first step in re-aligning with the highest version of yourself. It takes courage. I offer free 20-minute online or phone consultations so that I can hear about your therapy needs, answer any questions that you may have, and for us to see if we are a mutually good fit!

Using a resiliency-focused approach, it doesn’t have to be an ordeal to heal. In fact, neuroscience has shown this is not the best way to work on oneself. Rather, focusing on regulating the nervous system using simple wellness skills and education about the brain and body connection can pave the way toward increased daily well-being as well as lay groundwork for resolving trauma. We can't always prevent stressors, and many of us have been through challenges or traumas in childhood that make it difficult to weather life's changes. Together, we will co-create the best course of treatment to help you live more fully in each moment. From a foundation of attachment theory, I then combine several treatment modalities into client work. As a Senior Faculty of Trauma Resource Institute, I begin with teaching somatic skills. We can build in EMDR, Brené Brown shame resiliency work, expressive therapy, and CBT skills, among other methods. An avid learner, I incorporate new options regularly. I invite your call for an initial phone consult to see if we feel like a potential fit. Healing happens within the context of a connected, caring, and empathic relationship. Thus, the strength of our therapeutic connection is paramount. As we begin, I will check-in regularly during sessions to make sure your needs in therapy are being met.

Do you notice a disconnect lingering between your child and others… maybe even you? Do you struggle to understand why your child is acting out of character or doing things they shouldn’t be doing? Are you finding it difficult to be there for them in ways that are helpful? Negative thoughts and emotions can be experienced from any age, including times that don’t always make sense to many adults and parents. Sometimes the best of intentions can come across as invalidating or belittling, which can result in anxiety, depression, or even trauma. I am passionate about helping adolescents and young adults explore healthy ways to express themselves. My goal is to help clients build skills to work through their difficult thoughts and emotions in ways that are congruent to who they are and how they truly feel. I provide clients with a lighthearted space where they feel supported and validated, as well as challenged and encouraged to practice healthier coping mechanisms. My clients appreciate my sincerity and creative ways I find to connect with them.
