Hello! My name is Christine Thorp and I am a LPCC in Colorado. I received my MA degree from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado and previously graduated with my Bachelors degree at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. This education has given me the knowledge and ability to implement different treatment interventions along side traditional therapy. I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. I have also worked with families experiencing separation, trauma, and attachment disruptions. I believe in a client-centered approach and will include you in every aspect of treatment. My main approach is a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Based, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Art Therapy. I value your input and will tailor my approach accordingly. Whatever challenges you are facing, you don’t need to go through them alone. I hope to help you build on your strengths and take on challenges in a compassionate and safe environment.

Life can feel heavy sometimes, you seem to be plodding along just trying to get through it, or worse, waking up filled with dread at what the day ahead will bring. You struggle to find anything to get excited about or look forward to. It could be that something intangible has shifted and you have lost your sense of hope, optimism, and enthusiasm. Or perhaps a transitional event has occurred; you left a job, changed careers, retired, divorced, your kids grew up and moved away, you experienced the loss of someone close to you, received a life altering medical diagnosis, or a caregiving role has consumed your life. View 3 Photos Whatever it is that has caused your life to feel difficult and unsatisfying, I can help you navigate your way through it and get your world spinning on its axis again in a way that feels far easier, more enjoyable and satisfying. It can seem like taking an hour out of your week to focus on yourself and your experience of change or loss is not time you have available. However taking the time to focus on what you need, so that you are not approaching change from a place of depletion, will be time well spent. I would be honored to support you as you navigate your way through it.
