What would you say about your sex life right now? "It's complicated"! These words have been spoken by countless clients. Sex therapy is a specific type of counseling designed to treat sexual problems affecting both individuals and couples. Sex therapy can alleviate a wide variety of issues including: body image and self-esteem issues; conflict with religious belief/sexuality; confusion about sexual orientation; gender identification; difficulty experiencing orgasm; difficulty maintaining errections; erectile dysfunction; lack of sexual desire; negative attitudes or fear towards sex due to previous traumatic experience; premature ejaculation; health/disability; BDSM/various fetishes; and stress/anxiety regarding sexual performance. View 10 Photos There are few places that we can go to talk about sexual issues professionally without feeling judged or pathologized. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been working with adults and adolescents since 2009. The stigma around this topic is still too pervasive which enhances my desire to offer support, guidance and safe spaces for the theme of sexuality/gender to be explored and accepted. Sexuality is a theme that I care a lot about and I have spent a lot of time attending classes/seminars in this subject. Sessions involve talk therapy only and are strictly hands off.
