Good therapy is an investment in yourself. Often times we find ourselves stretched too thin with too many responsibilities and not enough time. We become depressed, anxious, and unsatisfied with our lives. Past experiences and trauma tell us that we are not good enough, not worth the effort, and destined to fail. We are taught to put others first and sacrifice our own needs. We give until there is nothing left, we feel unfulfilled, and yet we keep trying the same old thing, hoping for different results. There is another way, a better way. I want to help you on your journey to becoming the best possible version of yourself. I am an LCSW with 10 years of experience. I specialize in helping people overcome trauma, depression, anxiety, and poor self-esteem. I believe in a client-centered approach utilizing EMDR, Brainspotting, mindfulness, energy work, and CBT. I also specialize in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Reaching out for therapy is such an important albeit often difficult step to take on your journey towards better health. It takes courage and strength to own the issues that are impacting your life; even if you are not the cause of them. I would love to help you on this journey and help you work towards achieving all of your goals.

Excessive self-judgement by our relentless inner critic appears to be nearly universal, whether we consciously recognize it or not. Few of us are immune from this in these stressful times. We need someone who can kindly bear spacious witness to this painful, unhelpful struggle. Such an unbiassed witness can mirror our observations and can guide us in the changes we want to make without our aggressive self condemnation(which only keeps us stuck). We then have the opportunity to open to what is “right” with us as a simple, helpful fact, our birthright. We can then move beyond struggling with good vs bad, free to choose change. I hold the view that we are not fundamentally broken. What I offer is practical, simple, mutually engaged methods in honest self awareness. This is accomplished in the live moment. Rather than talking about past and future, we remain in the reality of what is happening “now,” working directly with our feelings(emotions), not rejecting or discarding anything. None of us is immune from life's challenging struggles. Appreciating having been directed myself in practical, creative ways to meet these obstacles inspires me and brings me happiness to share my experience with you. Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional!
