With assistance and support there can be increased awareness to self and the environment making life infinitely more enjoyable. I am a licensed therapist in the state of CT and specialize in the topics of anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, identity confusion, and pregnancy/postpartum. In couples work I focus on the importance of communication, trust, and sexual awareness. My approach to psychotherapy has emphasis on the needs of each individual client. My framework is relational, and supportive, with emphasis in gestalt/existential/here and now therapy, as well as cognitive behavioral techniques. I increase my knowledge base through post gradutate endeavors in the field so that I can remain updated for my clients, and connected to my field of practice. Throughout life, and especially throughout young adulthood, many of us face major shifts in our identity that can disrupt our view of the world and of ourselves. Whether you are facing a career or job change, starting higher education, becoming sober, or embracing your identity as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am here to help. While change is never easy, we can build skills to lean into uncertainty with ease and navigate the anxiety, mood changes, and existential questions that can accompany a major transition. After receiving my graduate degree at Fordham University, I worked extensively with adults of all ages maintaining their sobriety, and am trained in SMART Recovery, with a passion for harm reduction. I am also extremely passionate about working with queer individuals who are seeking clarity around their identity and/or working to develop gender euphoria. I encourage you to reach out to me via phone or email so that we can discuss what you are looking for in therapy!
