I approach therapy as a collaborative process and provide a supportive, empowering, and confidential space. Race, gender, class, and power—and how multiple identities intersect--all inform the work . Intergenerational trauma, parenting, postpartum, depression and anxiety are some of the most common struggles. I am fluent in Spanish. I am also a certified surf therapist! I work with you to co-create small, impactful change. Together we can unlock connection, compassion, and creativity. We all have seeds of growth, change, and healing within us. Humans are natural storytellers. I use the tools of narrative therapy to understand the stories we tell ourselves. I also use play, art. metaphor, and humor to access both our dark and silly places. Tools include writing, grounding, painting, and storytelling. I enjoy working collaboratively and creatively. I offer confidential tele-health services. I ground the process in positive psychology, and somatic and expressive arts therapies. I also offer 4-week group Surf Therapy Workshops in July and January. Next Surf Therapy Workshop is 2-weeks Sunday January 7th, 9-1 and January 14th 9-1. 4-week workshops held Sundays in July/August. Email for details.

We live in a culture that emphasizes feeling good and being happy. But the reality is, we all face challenges or challenging times, and sometimes friends and family don't have the resources to provide all the help we need. I have over 25 years of experience training and working in the behavioral health field. I work collaboratively and respectfully to support you with proven methods to compassionately and gently foster change and recovery. I will work with your other providers, mindful of your unique strengths while helping you to live your life in accord with your deepest values. I work to be truly engaged and present with you, while respecting your innate expertise and abilities. While I use a range of evidence-based interventions, including cognitive, cognitive-behavioral, and motivational, I may also employ methods, equally science-based, that have developed from work in mindfulness and meditation. If you are having difficulty coping with a chronic health condition like fibromyalgia or insomnia, you should know that effective treatments are available. These conditions are often misunderstood and under-treated, and I am eager to help you find the treatment that works.
