I believe that in therapy, the focus should first be on learning to gain acceptance of ourselves. I feel that our beliefs about ourselves are paramount because they shape the beliefs that we have about other people and in turn, the rest of our environment. After we identify the beliefs about ourselves that need to be adjusted, we can work on how to improve those beliefs, which will improve our interactions with others and the way that we see the world. I look forward to helping others with that process. View 5 Photos Another focal point of therapy is to examine the way that we develop our identities based on our perceptions of where we come from and what we have been through in life. Everyone has the opportunity to improve their sense of self by improving how they develop their respective identity. I am a real down to Earth person and my motto is that you should always entertain the possibility that you might be wrong - which I also practice daily. Although it isn't something that comes naturally to most, its something that, once you practice, can change your relationships and your life for the better.

I work with those who feel disconnected from themselves and the world around them. Stress, trauma, or other difficulties can leave us feeling splintered and fragmented. We will welcome you back into your mind, body, and spirit. I am identity affirming; I offer a space where you can be seen and heard without reservation. I work with individuals who are exploring all facets of their identity across the spectrum of human experience. I specialize in supporting those who are post-religious and finding it difficult to navigate that journey. The foundation of my approach is acceptance. I don't believe anything is "wrong" with you, there is nothing about you that is shameful. I believe that we can work together to integrate that vision into how you view yourself. You are enough, you are worthy, and I see that!

My counseling philosophy involves allowing a client to be themselves and working to meet them "wherever they may be on their own self discovery journey". I have been in the counseling field for over 20 years and have tremendous experience working with several populations. I have learned that individuals have the innate capacity to grow and become their best selves, given an environment in which they can do so. Asking for help to do this can be very difficult. Regardless of the obstacles in your life, you have the capacity to move forward. I am a LCPC in Boise, Idaho and have experience working with individuals, couples, addictions, past trauma, anxiety, refugees, grief and loss, mood disorders, depression, gender issues, and much more. My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, as well as several other approaches. If you are self-searching or addressing issues causing you struggles, consider improving your self-growth through counseling in a safe, accepting, and therapeutic environment.

As a therapist, I love to hear each client’s unique story and I am excited to work with clients from different backgrounds. My goal as a therapist is to empower my clients to live their most authentic lives. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients and I work collaboratively toward their goals. I believe that my clients are the expert of their own lives. I help my clients to navigate and understand who they are. Every client is different and therapy is not “one size fits all.” I use a variety of theories like narrative, solutions-focused, EFT, and tailor the models to the client’s needs. I work with clients who want to restore balance, strengthen their relationships, feel confident, and change behaviors. I enjoy working with couples, individuals, and teens. As a wife, daughter, mother, and friend I know the value of healthy relationships. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, reading, yoga, and spending quality time with my family. I would love to guide you on your healing journey. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Certified IFS Therapist and owner of Dybka Behavioral Health, a virtual Idaho group practice specializing in the treatment of disordered eating. Our passion is assisting clients who want recovery, but require guidance. We view eating disorders as protective trauma responses, not disease; and assist clients with the healing and integration of wounds that fuel these trauma responses. In this process, clients learn to access their own sense of Self. If your goal is beyond symptom reduction and into life-long transformation, we are here to help you achieve it. Our primary therapeutic approach is Internal Family Systems (IFS), an evidence-based and deeply transformative model developed for the treatment of bulimia. Our other modalities include ACT, mindful-based approaches, DBT and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Are you ready to uncover the real YOU underneath the trauma responses? Are you ready to love ALL of who you are? Dybka Behavioral Health is a Health At Every Size & Intuitive-Eating affirming practice, where ALL bodies are welcome and deserve compassion. It is common for people to say therapy hasn’t helped much and in many cases has even made things worse. Understandably, this increases people’s fear and doubt about therapy being able to help them. I find that most therapy is ineffective and most therapist are poorly trained. Because of this, I have been deeply committed to becoming a much better therapist providing the most modern and effective therapeutic approaches. The people I work with regularly report more significant energy, relief, and sense of lightness. They also tend to share that the process was quick, effective, and enjoyable. Visit my website for more details View 4 Photos I have many specializations and treat most issues. PTSD and healing other forms of past pain are my main expertise. I am a Certified Rapid Resolution Therapy Practitioner (RRT) and in many other modalities. I have extensive training in RRT and consider it the most effective treatment modality. I also love it because it is energizing, fun, and inspiring As your therapist, I am committed to improving your life. I view it as my job and responsibility to accomplish this with you. I particularly enjoy helping people work through trauma and their past pains using RRT and EMDR. These treatments are not only effective, they are quick and much less painful than other therapeutic approaches.

I have been working with couples and families for over 25 years, specializing in relationships. I work with couples who want to improve their relationship, figure out where it's going, or end it with as much peace as possible, with families where there has been divorce and child behavior problems, and with individuals who have anxiety or depression. Therapy is based in the present and is short-term. You should see results quickly, and if you don't, something about the way therapy is going needs to change. Your time and money will not be wasted. I offer Discernment Counseling for "mixed agenda" couples who aren't clear whether their marriage can be (or is worth being) saved. Relationships evolve. It's important to acknowledge that we cannot always be everything to our partner, nor can our partner be everything to us over multiple decades. My work allows for conversations about the multiplicity of forms that relationships can take, including expertise in polyamory and other consensually non-monogamous relationships.

Currently only accepting new neurofeedback clients. You notice you aren't performing at quite the level you used to. Maybe you're an athlete who's been injured, a first responder who took a tough call, or someone who has experienced adversity that you just can't seem to "get over." You might notice that you're more irritable, not getting restorative sleep, or having trouble taking on challenges that used to excite you. You're ready to get back to being who you used to be, doing things you used to do, sleeping better, and feeling less stressed - and you don't want to have to spend years in therapy to get there. I primarily use Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Neurofeedback (EEG Biofeedback) to help resolve trauma, restore a sense of wellbeing, and enhance resilience. You can learn more about both of these by visiting my website. People who get the most out of working with me are ready for change, set clear treatment goals, track and report on progress, and attend appointments consistently. You don't have to stay stuck in problems or the past - you deserve a life you enjoy living! Let's meet soon to start figuring out together how to get there.

I am a Licensed MFT in both California and Idaho. I am located in Boise, Idaho and currently provide telehealth in both Idaho and California. Therapy should help you improve your life. Though it can take time to get the most out of therapy, my goal is that we see improvement all along the way in your ability to function and manage. A significant percentage of my counseling experience has been working with people on the Autism spectrum (most often with those identifying as having Asperger's). We work together on how to navigate social and work life. I also focus on helping people learn how to manage better in their romantic relationships, which are often confusing and unsatisfying. I offer a free 15 minute consultation via video conference (or by telephone, if you are not able to do video conference). We can talk over why you are interested in therapy, and there will be time to ask me some questions. This is important to do prior to starting therapy.
