Everyone needs help sometimes. Life comes with challenges and finding support is important in order to face them, especially when the challenges feel like more than we can handle on our own. I truly believe that every person has the strength they need to face these challenges with the right support in place. I am here to offer whatever support is needed: a safe place to freely speak your mind without judgment, a chance to be understood, an ally to look at situations and options, a companion to offer new ideas and perspectives. I have experience working with a wide variety of issues, including: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder. I am passionate about working with autistic adults and their partners, people recovering from drug, gambling and food addictions, also people in the LGBTQIA+ community and women exploring issues related to gender. In working with clients, I prefer to collaboratively determine what approach and what pace will be the right fit for each individual. Are you in need of extra support? I'm here to help! I have a passion for working with older children and adolescents struggling with behavioral and emotional concerns. Conditions I commonly address include depression, anxiety, high functioning autism, ADHD, school resistance, and much more. I also have a background in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapy, a common approach to working with children with behavioral concerns on the autism spectrum. In addition to working with children, I enjoy working with adults with conditions such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, PTSD, and more. I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling, tailoring strategies and interventions to the presenting individual and family. I believe success in therapy comes from a strong therapeutic relationship and value the role of teamwork between the client and therapist when working to overcome current struggles.
