My areas of interest include individual, couples, and family therapy dealing with challenges such as stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, personal development, relationships, communication, conflict resolution, and parenting. I offer Christian counseling and recognize the importance of spirituality in the health and wellness of my clients. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and have completed the Caring for People God's Way program. If desired, I can approach clients' concerns by integrating research-based therapy with a faith-based, biblical perspective. My approaches to therapy include Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Gottman Method, and Integrative Family Therapy (IFT). I am also very interested in neurobiology; how our experiences with others can affect the wiring in our brain, and how these neuropathways can be rewired through psychotherapy. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy and consider the client's physical health as a part of their wellness. I am a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I like to use my knowledge of biology, nutrition, physiology, and exercise psychology to support the overall wellness of my clients.
