I work with men who have difficulty identifying with their feelings, struggle with depression and anxiety, or have issues with their work/life balance. My clients typically struggle with expressing themselves in their relationships. They feel lonely, hopeless, and isolated. They are overworked and under loved. In our work together, I will give you support, feedback and insight, and constructively challenge patterns and beliefs that may be getting in your way. Together we can strive to understand the roots of the struggles you are experiencing in your life. I utilize techniques from numerous evidenced-based theoretical perspectives and will customize treatment to fit your specific needs. My work is often a mixture of psychodynamic, attachment, and systems theories. This approach views clients within the context of early experiences, attachment to caregivers, and within multiple systems (family, work, school). I do remote sessions only and serve the states of Washington and Indiana

I believe in a safe and open relationship between client and therapist is the foundation of change, and I value getting to know each of my clients to best understand your experiences. I believe in identifying and using your strengths and values to help you progress toward your therapy goals. Social justice is an important value of mine, and I work with clients to identify systemic factors that impact you, your relationships, and your mental health, to view the bigger picture of client problems and avoid over-pathologizing clients, especially those from marginalized communities. My training as a generalist has prepared me to work with a variety of client concerns such as anxiety; depression; trauma; identity, relational and/or family problems. I have a passion for working with clients with concerns unique to the LGBTQ+ community. I am also trained in trauma-informed therapy, including EMDR. I am an affirming individual who highly values equity, inclusion, and justice. I have received specialized training in the treatment of sexual concerns and couple therapy. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye-Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing), an approach to therapy useful when healing from trauma(s). I look forward to our work together!

Does it feel like all you are doing is doggy paddling in the ocean, trying to keep your head above water? It feels like relationships are anchoring you down, and life events are giant waves pushing you under. Reaching out for help can feel scary. I hope to help you learn to surf the waves, implement coping skills, and feel in control of your life. Through therapy, you can learn to process and embrace your past and look forward to your future. I hope you can learn about yourself and start loving and accepting all parts of you. I am committed to providing affirming care and honoring those who come from marginalized identities. I am passionate about working with survivors of sexual trauma, religious and spiritual concerns, and foster care/adoption systems. I also specialize in working through issues of identity concerns and self-esteem. I see how difficult it is to know yourself honestly and to love yourself for who you are. Knowing who we are and embracing ourselves is a journey. Therapy is not easy. Often, it can feel dark, scary, and painful. I know two things about this process: 1. You do not have to do this alone. I will be with you every step of the way 2. I have faith that together, we can make it through the dark and messy place, and find the light at the end. When you’re ready to begin the journey, I’m prepared to help you.

I am able to listen to the challenges going on in your life, focus on an area to develop goals and work towards positive change. I will help you explore how your thoughts are connected to your feelings, and how those thoughts and feelings influence the way we interact in our world. Together we will learn how to find ways to cope and find growth. In therapy I use a strength-based approached, and I am able to provide support regardless of where your self-esteem is at the start of therapy. We will also talk about things outside of reason you came to therapy, what I usually call “the fun in your life.” Rapport or the connection you have to your therapist is very important in therapy. At the end of our sessions, we will set goals to work on from week to week. I can help hold you accountable to make those positive changes in your life. I am not a teacher, there are no grades, but I will help explore and challenge you to be the best you.

I am a social worker who specializes in couples and sexual-related issues. I do a lot of work with couples around infidelity, trust and sexual issues. I spend much time helping couples overcome the aftermath of affairs and help lead them to a better relationship than they previously had. I also work with individuals with problems like depression, anxiety and loss. I do my sessions exclusively by video and phone and have done teletherapy for about five years. My style is very casual and thoughtful. And I have become very adept at doing teletherapy. I find that most of my clients prefer this format. In couples work, I teach that communication is different for men and women. I help couples and individuals with sexual issues like lack of desire, performance anxiety, dysfunction, coming out issues and relationship types (consensual nonmonogamy and monogamy) and navigating these. I am looking forward to hearing from you. I know that sexual and relationship issues can be difficult to discuss, but with my style I think you'll feel quite comfortable talking with me. You will find reaching out for the initial conversation with me that I am not judgemental in the least and that you will feel at ease speaking with me.

Heartfelt Harmonies was created to serve individuals within the community with high-quality and evidence-based music therapy services. And to do so with a full heart, compassion, and individualized care. Services focus on individual client goals, strengths, preferences, and areas of need. For both individuals and groups. I work with kids, teens, and adults, and older adults. I develop a strong therapeutic rapport with clients while providing music therapy interventions. We use music as a tool to reach non-musical goals. For some individuals, it may help to focus on the music and allow the therapeutic process to happen along the way with a Board-Certified Music Therapist. Would you like to discuss music therapy? Let's chat, and you can decide if music therapy is a good fit for you or a family member. Please text, call, email, or visit my website. I can't wait to meet you!
