Hey there! My name is Ash Nobles (she/they) and I'd love to walk through therapy with you. Are you wrestling with sexuality, or do you want a therapist who is aware of sexuality’s impact on life? Do you have questions about parts of your childhood you can’t quite remember? With me you can expect someone who is on your side and who will provide a safe space to explore, engage with your story, and find a sense of healing. My history is working in mental illness based settings, engaging trauma stories with neurodivergent young adults, and is as an advocate with teenagers and the LGBTQIA+ community. You don't have to do this alone. View 6 Photos Whether you identify as LGBTQIA+, you have questions about things from your childhood, or you're exploring who you are today in light of your story, I'm confident we can work together to build a connection that will allow the space for healing. From my own journey and the journey of others, I know the value of having a space to ask questions, engage with emotions, and explore our wildest fantasies without shame, fear, or judgment.. It feels like you're not going to be able to do this much longer. No, the relationship isn't going to end. It's just that something has got to give. You've literally said everything you can say to help your partner understand what you need. Explaining, negotiating, yelling, managing. All in hopes that something will click. That something will create change. At this point you don't know how it's gotten so painful and lonely. It's starting to feel a little helpless, maybe even hopeless, that you'll ever be able to have the connection that you once had again. There have been changes and difficulties along the way. Major ones actually, and finding the path, on your own, from these struggles to why you aren't emotionally close, isn't working. That's where I come in. I can help the two of you find each other again. Your relationship is the most important thing and you know it's worth fighting for. Let me join the two of you by helping to slow things down so you can understand why you both do what you do, so that you can find the place of security and love that you have been fighting for.

Welcome! I understand the courage it takes to reach out. I am the owner of InDwell, a mental health service for children, teens and adults. I am a licensed therapist, certified play therapist, and trained in EMDR. I spent 20 years working as a nurse providing me with an understanding of how our physical & mental health are intertwined. My approach addresses the whole person believing that wellness comes from harmonizing the mind, body and spirit. I offer a Christian perspective for those seeking it, while respecting the unique worldview and beliefs of each client. View 9 Photos For me, therapy is more than a profession—it’s a passion. My journey towards becoming a clinician was not just a professional choice, but a personal one. I realized through my own healing journey that understanding and navigating our interior world is not just a skill but an art that can profoundly impact our lives. I love working with children, teens and young adults and have a passion to help young minds thrive while equipping parents on their journey of raising kids. I am the co-owner of The Greenhouse Project which provides resources to parents, bridging the gap of knowledge from professional to parent so they can build meaningful connections with their kids.

I love making therapy a positive experience that leaves clients feeling happy and excited to come back the next week. My practice is focused on therapy with kids, teens, adults, and families. I use play therapy, Theraplay(tm), and Whole Brain Child interventions to reach kids and teens. I enjoy working with adults on determining what career path to take, how to adjust to college/full time employment, mid-life career issues, and stress management/mindfulness skills. Issues from Anxiety, ASD, and Depression often pop up at this time of life. I am here to help them navigate! Problem solving with parents is something that I do daily in my office. It can feel so overwhelming figuring out what the issue is with your child or teen. Is it an anxiety issue? Is it the way you're structuring things? Sorting this out and giving you specific strategies is what I do! You'll leave my office knowing how to handle sticky situations. Helping parents of adults is another passion of mine. It can be hard to know how to transition your high schooler or young adult out of the house. I support parents in figuring out how to nurture independent living skills while setting healthy and loving boundaries. Additionally I teach individual and group parenting classes throughout the year.

None of us are able to escape transition. Our relationships change, our families change, our environments change, and our bodies change. Whether the change we experience is welcome, abrupt, devastating, or a mix of many feelings, we must leave the familiar when it comes. Growth happens when we walk forward and integrate our new awareness and adapt to the new era that we are entering. Sometimes this growth needs more support than we anticipate. Flourishing is possible, but we can feel stuck in our journey to get to it. View 4 Photos I want to understand you. We are beautifully complex individuals embedded in families and communities. Dealing with trauma, anxiety, and depression damages our relationship with our own bodies and our communities. Integrating your unique story, views, and relational landscape means that we are able to better work together to create positive change. Here's the deal. I am so proud of you for being HERE - for believing that things can be better and having the hope that in meeting with me, or another professional, you can find help. My desire is to create an environment where you can be heard and understood. As we sort through the hurt, I believe that your hope gives you the best start.

As a counselor, I believe in the power of relationship and connection. Sometimes we get lost in seasons of disconnection - finding ourselves stuck in the same patterns that end in hurt, longing for meaningful relationships that somehow feel out of reach, or wrestling with who we are and what we want out of life. Many of us have lived through experiences in the past or are dealing with challenges in the present that leave us feeling exhausted and alone. If any of this sounds familiar, I would be honored to meet you in these difficult places. I value the process of building connection with curiosity and care as we work together to find creative coping skills that fit your lifestyle, to help you discover your own answers, and to find acceptance in some of life's unknowns. I look forward to the opportunity to walk with you through this process towards growth and awareness. My hope is to help you hold what is beautiful and what is hard as you navigate the joys and hardships of life, and that you would find healing along the way.

I enjoy using IFS (Internal Family Systems) to work with adults and older adults who are going through a major life "event," such as burnout, retirement, or grief and loss. I see many fellow social workers and healthcare providers and we work together in figuring out how to be emotionally ok while working in healthcare (especially post-covid). Many of my clients are caregivers who need support and validation around being so isolated. Clients do best with me who are open to changing some behaviors (including self-care) and are not easily offended when some "therapeutic cussing" occurs! I'm a clinical social worker in MO, KS, and FL and I have worked over 22 yrs as a therapist with adults and older adults. I've worked at the KU Alzheimer's Disease Center and Landon Center on Aging, and specialize in adult and older adult mental health. I've been a hospice social worker as well as an adjunct professor at UMKC (and I teach yoga!) I want to be a good listener and build a relationship with you, always working to let go of my ego and agenda. Feel free to reach out for a 15 minute freebie zoom to see if it's a good fit! (BTW, I would never trust a therapist who doesn't see their own therapist. I see mine twice a month!).

I specialize in working with individuals, couples and families experiencing challenges within the family system, which often show up as belligerent teens, difficulties in relationships, anxiety, depression, as well as the myriad issues that arise in the general navigation of life. These issues may include parenting issues, grief and loss, relationships, being part of the sandwich generation, work/life balance. I truly believe you already have the knowledge and wisdom needed to address these issues. As we work together, I will support and guide you as you gain clarity and identify steps to navigate your current challenges. My fellowship training focused on family systems, as we are all in some type of system, our family of origin, extended family, friends, or work family. All these systems come with the joys and sorrows inherent in relationship. Together we can come up with new ways of navigating difficulties without compromising relationships. I invite you to contact me to see if my approach and training is a good fit for you. Also, please visit www.mindablellc.com for additional information about me. I look forward to talking with you.
