I am currently accepting new clients. I firmly believe that everyone possesses the ability to heal and grow. My role in the process is to help bring forth awareness and assist in helping clients cultivate coping skills. I am particularly interested in the mind/body connection and believe that with the use of mindfulness, people can implement an integrative approach to facilitate multi-level healing. My philosophy taps into various parts of the self in order to create inner cohesion. By developing self-compassion and acceptance, we can begin to embrace our whole selves and manage anxiety, stress, and relational issues. My approach is person-centered, and I seek to provide a collaborative relationship in order to meet clients’ unique therapeutic goals. I firmly believe that when we are truly able to see one another with compassion, we can bridge gaps within relationships and communities. My work is eclectic and integrative with an emphasis on skill building. I utilize my position as a counselor as a way of communicating, connecting with, and advocating for those around me. I believe that you are the expert on you. My role is to hold space and support you during the process of healing and growth. I am currently accepting new clients. I have seen that nearly everyone struggles at some point and with the right support, people can be empowered to change. I believe that an empathic and trusting relationship, one where people feel supported and safe to explore their struggles and identify their desires, is essential for therapy to be successful. I strive to provide that safe space and help clients access their internal strengths and sources of resilience. I work with the clients to help them integrate new or different approaches into their life so they can live their "best life", whatever that looks like to them. As a registered dietitian, I take a holistic approach and have a wealth of rich experiences to draw upon, but ultimately the process is individualized and collaborative, with the client's goals in mind. My approach empowers all body sizes, shapes, and abilities; is strengths-based; hopeful; eclectic; and custom tailored to help all individuals. Concerns I work with include grief, to include death and non-death losses; anxiety; living with chronic disease and disability; body image concerns; developing boundaries; self-esteem; disordered eating; stress management; life transitions; career development; wellness and lifestyle goals; developing coping and emotional regulation skills.

Do you suspect that you or a loved one is on the autism spectrum? I can help you in exploring this question and considering its personal, vocational, and family implications. I specialize in working with older adults who are diagnosed or seek diagnosis. I also work with teens and children/families. I can help communication between autistics and "neuro-typicals." I am active in an adult autistic peer support network and can help you connect with other autistics for support if you wish to do so. I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder 5 years ago [in my 60's] and have become active in experiencing these issues myself. I am co-author of the book: Older Autistic Adults: The Lost Generation to be published by AAPC. I have training in working with neuro-diverse couples and families -- facilitating understanding and communication. I strive to be myself and work from my heart. My approach is to help you find your inner being and express it in the world. My therapy approaches include art, music, crafts, drama, pet therapy, etc. -- however you are most comfortable communicating. Sharing yourself in therapy does not need to be limited to words.
