I work with both individuals and couples, helping people to heal from the effects of former or current destructive relationships, restore their sense of trust in themselves, and help them to experience more safety, connection and satisfaction in their lives. Even in the most painful of relationship dynamics (whether with yourself, a partner, a family member, professional relationship, etc.), there is a seed of opportunity for change for the better. Only one person has to shift in order for the entire dynamic to change. I work with individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, past trauma, perfectionism, a critical inner voice, or untangling from a complicated relationship (including narcissism, gaslighting, emotional withdrawal). I work with couples who may be fighting, struggling with communication and connection, or considering separation or divorce. Here’s what you can expect from me: I’m a fierce advocate for my clients - I have their best interest at heart. I am direct and challenge my clients. I am discerning - I can see what is really going on underneath the surface. I am compassionate and empathetic - I’ve had my own struggles as well. I would love to connect with you, please reach out.

Are you a woman struggling with the complexities of biological, environmental, societal and relational pressures? Or, are you having difficulty with the demands of life and feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted? You are not alone in this. As women, we live in a society that constantly implies that who we are isn’t enough. But, change is possible. Over the years I’ve developed a specialty working with women who are pregnant or have recently given birth, are struggling with depression, anxiety or self-esteem, or who have a history of experiencing childhood trauma. Oftentimes, my clients identify with all of these. I value the therapeutic relationship as a means to foster growth and I meet clients where they’re at to develop a genuine relationship in order to have the best foundation to heal. As a therapist who is constantly evolving and striving to be the best version of myself, you can expect a real connection and an understanding of how difficult this is. Clients have described me as easy to talk to, empathetic, and non-judgmental— So, come as you are and we’ll go from there. I believe growth is best achieved when you’re able to be vulnerable and authentic and I promise to be vulnerable and authentic in this space as well. You don’t have to do this alone, let’s walk this path together.

The emphasis of my practice involves supporting all security system’s at a foundational level. Playing with our bodies as a container of resources gifted to us at conception. My care for clients is specifically focused on the development and integration of Primary infant Reflex patterns. I use mindfulness, trauma informed touch, and Neuro-Sensory-Motor Reflex Integration methods (MNRI). The clients who walk through my door are not looking to be "fixed" with more "go...go...go” but rather to "connect" to a slower, and softer sense of self. I want you to look forward to “Jenna days” as a series of exhaling release valves. Clients come to me to address various unmet needs: to support their security systems and find acceptance and embodied spirit in the resources that exist in today’s body. As human beings, we have a series of genetic reflex patterns that serve as the Neuro-physiological basis for survival, safety and protection. Proper expression and "experiences" of these reflex patterns lead to a sense of "coming home to yourself". If you are looking for a "bottom-up" Trauma Informed manual therapy feel free to reach out and ask questions

As a client at various times in my own life, I appreciate the challenge of engaging with a new therapist. The vulnerability of opening up to a stranger is real and palpable. Your growth in therapy is driven in part by your willingness to trust me, feel calm in the process, and confidence in my approach. My work always begins with this recognition, and has led to twenty years of creating a safe and comfortable space, while nurturing deeply meaningful relationships. Humbly and respectfully, I have had the privilege to witness amazing client strength, courage, and growth. I always learn from you, as you ideally learn from me. For twenty years my practice has focused on supporting young adults (18+) and adults. My expertise includes working with clients around depression, anxiety, divorce, relationship issues, life changes, professional decisions, and family conflict. I have also been through extensive training to inform my work with individuals surviving trauma. My approach is eclectic, as I don't believe any one theory can support the need's of each unique individual. Whether our work becomes insight oriented, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or interpersonally focused, our relationship and your strengths and goals will guide the process. Consider what it would be like to live without self-doubt and less worry. Consider enjoying a moment for the experience instead of re-visiting experiences over and over in your mind by allowing your thoughts to spin stories that often begin with "what if . . ." or "I should have . . ." The role of a therapist is not to be in the middle of troubles and is not about giving advice or telling someone what to do. However, many people feel that once they have a trusted "neutral" person to speak their stories to then they have begun the process of healing. I specialize in working with adults, adolescents, and families. My work is deeply rooted in a Strengths-Based Perspective within a Relational Model. I integrate stress-management strategies, such as mindfulness practices and cognitive behavioral tools, into my clinical practice. Together we will utilize the Life Ideals(tm) Model to identify areas of self-care that can be strengthened and strategize ways to incorporate healthy habits to improve overall health and wellness. The self-care practices that are proven to reduce stress and increase resiliency are Relaxation, Social Support, Thought Restructuring, Sleep, Physical Activity, and Nutrition.

Some of us struggle to live day to day and have stopped dreaming. Why is dreaming left to childhood? If you are searching for peace or to heal an invisible scar, you do not need to suffer or problem solve alone. I am a licensed clinical social worker whose passion for the past 30 years has been creating a safe space for the human experience that we all share. It has been my understanding that you may already have what you need and I have the privilege to be alongside you on that journey. Risks are scary but this may be a good one to take. I hope you reach out! My practice centers on a partnership that helps you reach your goals, not mine. This work includes healing from past traumas, support during developmental milestones, relationships, transitions and issues connected to stages of life. I hope to serve as a supportive guide on that journey and create an individualized counseling process. While I use evidenced based models, you will find my style, creative, honest, humorous, committed and gentle. I attempt to be as client focused as you deserve. I am presently seeing people in person or through Telehealth. Life has so many demands, I will try to be as available as I can to include mornings, evenings and weekends. I am licensed in ME and MA.

I use Internal Family Systems or "parts work" and somatic experiential approaches to help you develop curiosity towards your problems, reduce inner criticism, foster awareness of your body/mind/spirit, and build a warm relationship with yourself. I will take the time to get to know you, your specific challenges, and hopes. View 4 Photos Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a form of therapy that helps you heal by embracing your different inner parts, including parts that overwork, criticize, stress, shut down, or feel hurt or lost. These parts often try to protect us to feel safe. IFS helps you connect with your core Self, a nonjudgmental inner healer, fostering inner harmony and healing. Somatic therapy can include guided meditation, breath work, body awareness exercises, and learning how to work with emotions in the body through movement. I guide you through an embodiment practice so that you can access the inner landscape of your experience including body sensations, emotions, thoughts, and energies.
