I serve Alaska and Montana clients virtually. People come to therapy seeking growth and healing. Many seek the benefits of more insight into themselves and their responses to their day to day lives. People seek relief from things like anxiety and depression, wanting to find another way to feel about themselves and their lives. I have a strong interest in working to support healing from trauma. For some trauma is the result of an isolated incident, for others trauma contributes to long-held patterns of thought and behavior that are no longer working well. I believe we are all able to grow, to experience relief, and to heal. View 5 Photos I use tools including EMDR, somatic, clinical hypnosis and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as other trauma-informed approaches. I work with trauma, attachment, depression, anxiety, and stress. My goal is to help clients notice and appreciate their strength, while gaining new insight and opportunities for moving forward. Reaching out can be hard. I invite you to visit my website and blog at www.julieshewmanlpc.com to learn more about me and my approach to therapy. Please give me a call if you would like to connect.

Which path you choose will either allow you to experience peace and contentment or leave you feeling so overwhelmed as you struggle with feelings of frustration, doubt, anger, sadness, anxiety, shame, guilt, fear, or hopelessness. You are not broken, in need of fixing. Instead, you are deeply hurt and in need of care. Identifying some of these emotions may make you unsure what to do next. Rest assured, you are not alone. Many have felt the same but have found more efficient ways to heal through seeking help in the search for the cause. With over twenty years of experience, I can say that you're not alone. You don't have to struggle by yourself. By being supportive, non-judgmental, collaborative, and caring, my goal is not only to help you alleviate these feelings but to assist you to a place of healing. Using clinically tested and evidence-based interventions, I have worked in-depth with all ages throughout my counseling career. My training taught me to identify and treat mental health and addiction disorders, including marriage and family issues. Upon request, I also provide faith-based Christian counseling.
