I enjoy working with children and adults on issues related to anger, ADHD, adjustments, depression, anxiety, PTSD and self-esteem. Teaching children how to cope in this often times chaotic world is a passion of mine, but I also enjoy working with adults and teaching them how to decrease distorted thinking and create a life they love living. Self-awareness, self-regulation, self-soothing, and self-determination are fundamentally important for healing and I ask the questions that will help you understand your own barriers and teach you the skills that will empower you to change. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand your thoughts and feelings and provide you with the skills for creating a sense of stability during the change process. I will support and guide you through challenges you face and help you develop the communication skills needed to solidify these changes through self-talk and with others. I have the skills to help you overcome, but also the personal and professional experience to understand the difficulty of change or knowing where to start. Healing begins with the individual, but also requires a healthy support system. A therapist can help you with all of this and I enjoy making the process fun.
