I have worked at all levels of care. I appreciate collaborating with other treatment providers to provide the best care possible. First, let me acknowledge the courage it takes to reach out. I look forward to talking with you to find out more about what led you to seek counseling and to determine if we're a good fit. My theoretical orientation is primarily person-centered, which means that I believe that given a nonjudgmental, accepting space to explore issues, individuals can move towards growth and change. In addition to a person-centered approach, I frequently incorporate mindfulness into sessions, as well as techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. For clients interested in a more somatic approach, I use EMDR and EFT Tapping. I have clinical experience working with a variety of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, managing stress, and relationship challenges. I believe that the strength of the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of therapy. Please reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation so that we have a chance to get to know one another and decide if we're a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!

Is life stressing you out? I don't just help my clients develop skills to manage stress effectively but also work through and heal from what is the underlying causes to stress in their life. I am unlike most therapist because I am highly trained in different somatic approaches including Somatic Experiencing, where I incorporate my exceptional level of knowledge in neuroscience to therapy sessions. I am able to explain to you how your nervous system and brain functions when under physically and emotional stress, how this impacts your mental health, and how to heal from this in therapy. I'm trained in many approaches that are backed by years of research in the field, (cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), solution focused brief therapy, & Somatic Experiencing). I specialize in treating eating disorders, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and trauma in teens and adults. I do offer a free 15 min phone consult to see if we are a good fit and to answer any questions you may have. If you have a hectic schedule or a disability that differs you from meeting in-office I do provide live video therapy sessions via a HIPPA compliant system.
