Are you feeling overwhelmed or anxious? Having difficulty managing your stress and emotions? Do you worry excessively? Have you spent hours talking about your problems with little relief? Maybe you’re experiencing intrusive thoughts or memories, ruminating, or overreacting. Persistent negative beliefs about yourself might be keeping you stuck. Difficulty setting boundaries and people-pleasing is a common complaint. Overthinking and frequent reassurance-seeking might also sound familiar. These things make it hard to enjoy life and relationships. Psychological symptoms are often the result of unprocessed memories and experiences. EMDR therapy relieves symptoms of adverse experiences by changing the way memories are stored in your brain. Often the memories are long forgotten, so it may not be clear to you what is causing the symptoms you're experiencing. The physical and emotional symptoms remain present whether you're aware of the memories or not. I utilize EMDR, an effective, evidence-based treatment modality. Don’t wait for things to get worse. Wishing the day would just end or waiting for a "better time" to engage in life isn't thriving, it's merely existing. If the way you're living isn't working for you anymore, please reach out to me. You don't have to live like this.
