I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in group and individual settings. Many youth are feeling the impact of the political atmosphere, and extreme transitions of their social and personal identities. Our environments are constantly changing, relationships shifting, and therapy can be a place for you to process your feelings and experiences. I have training in cognitive rehabilitation therapy for individuals that present with neurological and neurodiverse diagnoses. I have also created groups for psychoeducation on gender, anxiety, and coping strategies for adults ages 65+. I am committed to affirming all genders, sexual identities, and abilities. Therapy can be a place for you to process politics and systemic barriers. I came into this field to work to support queer and trans people, and stand in solidarity with those who have experienced trauma and oppression. I have deep respect for my clients, and I am very hopeful for their future.

As a Licensed Associate Counselor, I am passionate about helping individuals find their own voice and discover the “root ball” from which their distress stems. I feel privileged to be allowed to be part of each client’s journey and have had the honor to witness many transformations. I firmly believe that this process begins with forming a trusting therapeutic relationship. Therefore, I utilize a multicultural and strength based approach that meets the individuals where they are while building self-efficacy. . I believe each person deserves a non-judgmental space where they can feel safe to speak their truth. I incorporate a multitude of evidence based interventions that include but are not limited to; CBT, mindfulness, person centered, strength based, yoga, trauma focused, wellness, art and play therapy. I am currently working toward trauma certifications. I believe that in order to have a full life we must be connected in a meaningful way to the things we value. In order to do so we must find what is blocking us from that full life. My framework utilizes a strength based approach which focuses on building and enhancing a sense of self while working to reduce negative thoughts and feelings .

As a therapist, I am focused on providing a safe and comfortable environment for you in an effective way that helps to facilitate change and healing. I use a multidisciplinary approach including behavioral, cognitive, client centered and holistic psychotherapy to form individualized treatment plans. Thereby creating an atmosphere of trust, support and acceptance. My specialty areas include but are not limited to: anxiety, depression; grief and loss; perinatal mood disorders ; trauma; relationship issues. Hello, my name is Kelly and I have been working with adolescents and adults for 15 yrs. My approach to therapy is empathetic and I use strategies that are focused on empowerment, cognitive restructuring and mindfulness. I am also trauma-informed and I strive to help clients feel safe and find strategies that work for them, not only for managing stress and anxiety, but also for personal growth. I am also a yoga instructor and practice my own mindfulness approach to daily living. This experience is available to any clients who wish to incorporate this into their treatment and daily living as well.
