Some of the scariest moments in life are when we feel as though we are losing or have lost control, and I hope to assist you in getting through the chaos. By providing a safe, non-judgmental, and encouraging environment, my goal is to support you in creating a life in alignment with your values and who you would like to be. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in NJ and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), with a master’s degree in counseling from Caldwell University from 2017, as well as experience with CBT, REBT, and ACT techniques, I am confident in my ability to walk with you through the process self-discovery. I hope to hear from you soon; in the meantime, I will be crafting, reading, spending time with family, friends, my partner, and my cat!

I believe in meeting clients where they are at! Every person is resilient. I intend our collaboration to remind you of your strengths, provide you tools to weather the storms of life, and a safe space to gain insight into your truest self. I come to social work from a social justice background and recognize that trauma and oppression are often intertwined. Acknowledging systemic issues is a vital part of my practice, particularly for youth and families directly impacted by it. Teaching you to advocate successfully on your own behalf, whether it be in your relationships or larger systems, is also essential. I work with children, teens and adults (ages 4+). My primary specialties are LGBTQ+ issues, particularly working with Trans and NB youth, grief and loss issues, and pregnancy and parenting issues. I also have experience working with multicultural families. I have extensive experience with behavioral and mood issues, as well as neurodivergence. My therapy modalities include cognitive behavior therapy, multicultural family therapy, narrative therapy, Trauma-focused CBT, play therapy and feminist therapy. I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based collaborative approach. Combining Expertise, Passion and Presence

Do you have trust issues in your relationship? Are you afraid to be honest with your partner or tired of trying to be someone you're not? Neither you or your partner are really talking about your hurt or resentments. You've tried over and over again and the current situation isn't working for you and/or your relationship. Contact me and we will talk about how you feel about your challenges and together come up with a behavioral and emotional strategy for you to move forward! By the end of our FIRST session, you will be given therapeutic goals that you and I will work on AND homework for you to work on in-between sessions. As an integrative therapist, I use a systems and CBT approach to help you resolve your challenges with trust and unmet intimacy expectations. As a couples and sexuality therapist as well as an addictions specialist (e.g., drugs, sex, gambling, etc) I will support you in unraveling co-dependency, self-esteem, trauma, and other relational fractures. My time can be "flexed" to accommodate the client's schedule. I also make special accommodations for high end clients with regard to time, location, and availability. I maintain a welcoming and affirming practice for LGBTQA. I am a former relationship/intimacy columnist for Blackdoctor.org and Ebony Magazine. Call now for a free ten minute consultation.
