We are a group of highly skilled professionals who conduct a full range of CLINICAL and FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS - in Administrative, Criminal, and Civil (incl. Tort) matters; examples include, but are not limited to FIREARM, IMMIGRATION, RISK ASSESSMENT, COMPETENCY, PERSONAL INJURY, AND SCHOOL AND EMPLOYMENT-RELATED EVALUATIONS. We have extensive experience working in a wide range of clinical settings with clients across all ages and presentations. Our unique areas of expertise are FIREARM and IMMIGRATION EVALUATIONS. Specifically, we conduct evals for FIREARMS PURCHASER ID cards, CARRY Permits, and those in situations involving GUN FORFEITURE, ”RED FLAG,” and GRAVES ACT matters. We also conduct IMMIGRATION evals, such as HARDSHIP, VAWA, and ASYLUM. We have a native SPANISH-speaking doctor. It is extremely difficult to find licensed experts who are highly skilled and competent to conduct forensic evaluations in the very specialized areas in which we practice. In addition to our extensive clinical-forensic experience, we stay at the CUTTING EDGE by teaching, training, and publishing in our respective areas of expertise.

Or you have a teen whose behavior is worrisome, and you're not sure whether it's "just adolescence" or something of greater concern. With over 20 years of experience, dedication and compassion, I will work with you to uncover obstacles and find solutions. My therapeutic style is active, collaborative, and acceptance-based. Although I've been trained in a variety of methods and models, I believe that the most important aspect of successful therapy is a good connection between therapist and client. That way, we can determine together what the best treatment plan will be for your needs. My background is in psychiatric settings, so I am comfortable treating depression, bipolar, and anxiety disorders. I also enjoy working with clients who are in recovery, and I have additional expertise with ADD/ADHD in teens and adults. I welcome LGBTQ clients of all ages. Dr. Sarah DeMarco is a Licensed Psychologist in NJ and NY. Dr. DeMarco conducts forensic mental health assessments that address various psycholegal issues in criminal and civil matters, including but not limited to mental health defenses, competency to stand trial, violence and sexual violence risk (including SVP), juvenile risk/psychosexual, personal injury, and public safety employment. One of Dr. DeMarco's unique areas of expertise is mental health evaluations for Firearms Purchaser ID cards (FID/FPIC), carry (CCW) permits, and gun forfeiture situations ("red flag"). Dr. DeMarco has extensive experience in working with adults and adolescents in a variety of clinical-forensic and correctional settings, such as a forensic psychiatric hospital, state prisons, inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment centers and a juvenile detention center. Please note that Dr. DeMarco does not conduct therapy and only conducts mental health evaluations.
